Mark Stephen Haynes

sharing the good news

My name is Mark. I am a Navy veteran, member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels, widower, and believer.

I was raised a Presbyterian. As a teen I attended a Pentecostal Church, and later as a young man, I joined the Episcopal Church. I have always known there is a God, but was not sure what church was right for me. I finally found the church home I have been looking for. I was confirmed into the Roman Catholic Church in 2015.

I work as a shift lead at Walgreen's, and as an independent contractor for Lionbridge. I am also a distributor with The Fuller Brush Company.

The beach is my happy place, and where I hope to spend many hours with a book in my lap when I retire.

Look around; push the buttons; use the contact page if you want to give me a shout.

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God,which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:4-7

I kept a blog to document my grief journey after I lost Eden to ovarian cancer in 2012. I called it, "Drop Kick Me Jesus Through the Goal Posts of Life". Read that blog here.
